Pottery art


You will need:

  1. Use pottery that can be used daily such as plates, bowls, a milk jug, sugar bowl, tea cups and mugs.

  2. Small paint brushes

  3. Paints for glazing (3 colours are sufficient)

  4. A bowl of water

  5. Newspaper on the table

  6. A sponge

  7. A paint palette


Visit your local hardware or market and choose your pottery with your child.

Spread a table with newspaper, and pour a small amount of paint in each palette

Wet your sponge, squeeze any excess water and wipe pottery.

If you are using a base colour on your pottery, using a sponge, dip in paint and paint pottery until covered.

Using a fine brush paint pottery.

Note: Hand painted pottery with personal messages make great presents for all occasions!
